Mission
We exist to be used by God to change lives and transform communities by the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the Glory of God!
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30–31)
"Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18–20)
"So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. That’s why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ’s mighty power that works within me. (Colossians 1:28–29)
The Gospel produces people who
- Celebrate (through worship services and times of personal devotion)
- Connect (in community groups and gatherings with other believers)
- Contribute (by sharing their time, talent and treasure for God's purposes)
Vision
The Vision of The Chapel is to be a church of grace-filled people empowered for campus, community and world transformation and new church and mission formations so that the Gospel is faithfully transferred from person to person and generation to generation. We also desire to be a church that raises leaders for Christ’s church and God’s glory.
Process
The primary process for life change and community transformation is discipleship and occurs within a community group. A community group is a regular gathering of people committed to maturing in Christ, who share life, pursue biblical truth and live on mission.
