Baby Dedication

We believe that children are a gift of the Lord and that parenting is a spiritual stewardship. We also believe that salvation comes as a gift through personal faith in Jesus Christ as one’s Savior. Consistent with these biblical convictions, at The Chapel we do not baptize infants or others who have not yet come to personal faith in Christ. We do, however, encourage parents to dedicate their children to the Lord publicly and provide regular opportunities to do so in a worship service.

In dedicating their children to the Lord, the parents are asked to commit themselves to being godly parents and to bring their children up in a way that points them to Christ as Savior. Additionally, in the public dedication of children to the Lord, The Chapel family asks God’s blessing on the child and affirms our commitment to encourage the parents and to supplement the spiritual nurture of their children.

Baby Dedication is included as part of the morning worship service several times throughout the year. Call the pastors’ assistant to register your child for Baby Dedication; Campus (Lori) —387-1580 x 2117; Oaks (Luanne) —387-1580 x 2211.
