Community Groups
Life happens best in community! That's when people come together to share their joys and sorrows and encourage each other in their walk with God. A community is made up of people who support each other through prayer and practical efforts. In a Community Group you will find people who are learning Biblical truth and maturing spiritually; who will be open about their struggles and sensitive to yours.
A Community Group is made up of three to twelve people who meet once a week or every other week for about an hour and a half. During their time together group members fellowship, study, discuss and pray together.
The Chapel offers a variety of community groups to meet your needs. We have men's groups, women's groups and mixed adult groups. We have groups for young couples, young singles, college students and teens. They meet in neighborhoods throughout the city and on occasion at Chapel facilities.
Ready to join a Chapel Community Group? Below is a listing of groups you may want to join. Call or email the contact person for information.
Please refer to our Chapel’s Discipleship Journey booklet if you are not sure which Community Group is right for you. A Self Evaluation is provided to help you decide where to join. If you still are not sure which group best fits you, please contact us at journey.campus@thechapelnet.com, or journey.oaks@thechapelnet.com, or call the church office to speak with one of our Community Group coaches Eric or Hans.

Growth Group . . . is where beliefs morph into behaviors. It is a time of “equipping and training.” The goal for Growth Group disciples is to develop consistent habits for Christian living. It is the process of “following” Christ. Members of Growth Group know Christ, have a desire to follow Him, and express a commitment to grow in their walk with God. Inductive Bible Study (about 1 hour of homework per week), fellowship and prayer are key features of the Growth Group. A typical Growth Group lasts about two hours (2 hrs.), meets once a week, and is scheduled during the Fall and Spring Semesters.
