Donald Tabb
Pastor Emeritus
Background: Reverend Tabb originally came to Baton Rouge as a member of Billy Graham’s Evangelistic Team in 1970 for a five day crusade in Tiger Stadium. Reverend Tabb became a Christian at Texas A&M in his senior year, through the witness of his roommate. (His conversion was a shock to his teammates on the Texas A&M Rodeo Team!) Following his service as an Airborne Ranger in the 82nd Airborne Division, he worked two years as the Director of North Texas Methodist Foundation, and two years at Lost Valley Ranch in Colorado. Reverend Tabb then joined the Billy Graham Team for seven years, leaving for a call to form a new church on the Louisiana State University campus -- The Chapel on the Campus.
Family: Donald married his wife Mary in 1958. Mary is a retired Professor of English at Louisiana State University. They have five children, and eight grandchildren.
Ministry: Donald Tabb is the Pastor Emeritus of The Chapel on the Campus, an independent evangelical church on the campus of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. As founder, he served as the Senior Pastor for 30 years.

Chris "Critter" Cook
College Pastor
Background: Chris grew up in Mandeville, Louisiana and graduated from LSU in December 2009 with a bachelors in Business Management. Along with being an avid tiger football fan, he became very involved in The Refuge college ministry at The Chapel his freshman year and grew up through its leadership structure. He came on staff his senior year in Fall 2008.
Family: Chris recently married his wife, Allison, in September 2011. Chris comes from a large and loving family with two awesome older brothers (His brother Patrick is a deacon at The Campus location), two beautiful younger sisters, and two whippersnapper younger brothers, who are good for wrestling. He is the proud son of Brad and Melanie Cook.
Ministry: Most recently Chris has served as the Assistant College Pastor with The Refuge. The past few years have been an exciting ride for him as God has used The Chapel and men like Josh LaRavia to bring clarity to his calling to ministry and, more specifically, his desire to reach the world through university students here at LSU and abroad. Chris is driven by the highest call to represent His king well and in the words of Paul, “Present everyone mature in Christ.” With maturity in Christ as the aim and discipleship as the means, Chris is trusting God will continue to use him, the incredible staff who serve with him and The Refuge leadership team to make an impact for Christ here at LSU and on university campuses around the world!
